About Me

I'm from China, and I'm an easy-going, gentle, attentive and patient Chinese tutor at heart. Most teachers reuse the same materials for every student — I don't. Every single lesson I build is fully customized around your own hobbies, experience and current level, because that's what actually makes a language stick.

That customization is the whole point. For an engineer who loves Chinese historical dramas, I built a "time travel" themed lesson so we could talk about Chinese history through role play. For a student who loves baking, I designed lessons around that exact interest. For students in import/export who need to read contracts and talk with clients, I draw on my own overseas sales background to teach practical trade vocabulary. No two lesson plans look the same, because no two students are the same.

I hold a Level 2-A Mandarin Certificate, so my pronunciation is standard and clean. And with a science and engineering background, I think logically — which means I can take Chinese grammar rules that feel overwhelming and break them down into simple, structured steps that actually make sense.
